Our scholarship process

• Any Vestal resident graduating from High School is eligible.

• Selection for scholarships is based on a variety of factors, not simply grades. 

  • academics

  • extra-curricular activities

  • community service

  • part-time job

  • intended college major

  • life challenges

  • personal qualities 

• Vestal Dollars for Scholars distributes approximately $100,000 annually.

• Some award sponsors require additional information or an essay; a student must complete these requirements to be considered for the award.

• All scholarship applications are administered online through this web portal. Students complete their student profile/application online and simultaneously apply for chapter, regional and national awards in one easy application.

  • ​If a student is under the age of 18, a parent will receive an email to approve the application.

• Students should complete their profiles as early as possible to ensure they are considered for all scholarships they are eligible for.

• The deadline for applying for the 2022 Vestal Dollars for Scholars Scholarship is April 1, 2022.

• Awards are presented annually at a special ceremony in June at the Vestal Senior High School.
